Philosophy

My love of food flourished from an early age, I guess it started by licking the cookie and cake batter bowls and utensils then cooking alongside mum. This love has its origins in an innate desire to inspire others through experiences that bring happiness, joy and wonderment.

That calling remains today, and through the creation of “Anton’s”, in my own unique way  I continue to create bespoke personalised high-end dining experiences in the privacy of others homes.

Exploring the stories behind the cuisine, I’ll take you on a sensory journey that will transcend your expectations of what a dining event should be. Not wanting to anchor my story on any one cuisine, I’ll draw from my own personal journey and interpretation of Aotearoa’s food evolution; from the past and the future. Blending my own artistic expression with cultural and historical awareness, I seek to achieve truly memorable dining experiences for you and your guests through my ever-evolving culinary narrative of New Zealand cuisine.

Me

With 20 + years’ experience in Hospitality from working in some of the countries and worlds best restaurants, working at 30,000 feet as in-flight chef in first class for a Middle Eastern Airline, to heading up the recipe development team at My Food Bag. Anton’s career has been diverse and exciting and always a journey of passion! A journey he feels honoured to have experienced working alongside some of the Industry leaders in both hospitality and corporate worlds, experiences that have made him who he is today.
